Session on India – Oman Defence Industry Cooperation

The Sultanate of Oman is an important strategic partner for India and was the first Gulf nation to have formalised defence relations with India. Defence has been a key pillar of our bilateral relationship where both sides have a shared vision for modernising the capability of its Armed Forces. The Indian Industry can play a pivotal role towards realising this objective. The Omani side has expressed interest in exploring the capability of the Indian Industry in the fields of Ammunition, Simulators, Protective Gear, Small Arms, Fast Crafts etc. In this context and as part of the Ministry of Defence’s Global Outreach Series, SIDM, in partnership with the and the Embassy of India, Muscat, Oman is organising a Session on ‘India-Oman Defence Industry Cooperation’ on 12th July 2021 from 1030 – 1300 Hrs IST via Virtual Platform'.

The Session will bring together procurement officials from the Omani Ministry of Defence who will also share a presentation on their policies and procedures.
