The Global Defence & Aerospace Industry was expected to grow at between 3 and 4 percent in 2020 to reach an estimated US$1.9 trillion as governments worldwide continue to modernize and recapitalize their militaries. Further, the Industry was estimated to grow by US$2.5 trillion from new opportunities arising in the next decade. However, with the onset of COVID-19, the Defence & Aerospace Industry, is seeing a major downfall of growth due to restrictions arising in global trade. While some countries such as the United States and Israel have classified the ‘Defence & Aerospace’ industry as essential, many other countries and companies are grappling to sustain production as part of the global supply chain. The webinar will incorporate a presentation by Roland Berger on the present scenario of the Industry and will see also have speakers from SIDM’s MoU partners, UK-India Business Council (UKIBC), GIFAS* ( The French Aerospace Industries Association) and ABIMDE ( Brazilian Defense and Security Industries Association), who will share their perspective on the Global Defence Industry.
