Virtual Seminar on Indigenous Development of Simulators for Indian Armed Forces

27th August 2021 | 1300 – 1545 Hrs | Virtual Platform

Senior officials of the MoD & the Indian Armed Forces have repeatedly indicated the likelihood for increased use of Simulators in all spheres of training in the near future. This shall help achieve cost-effective, efficient, fast-paced, and smart training for our combatants.

In line with this, SIDM is currently working on a Study to ascertain the Indian Industry's existing capability to fulfil the Armed Forces' Simulator requirements. The final report shall be shared with the MoD, HQ IDS and other key stakeholders, to be taken into consideration while drafting policies and guidelines with regards to Simulators.

As a part of this study, SIDM is organising a Virtual Seminar on Indigenous Development of Simulators for Indian Armed Forces on 27th August 2021, from 1300-1545 Hrs.

AVM Rajiva Ranjan, Assistant Chief, Integrated Defence Staff (PP & FS) has kindly consented to give the Keynote Address at the beginning of the seminar. Several industry experts have been invited to share their perspective on the Indian Industry's current capabilities, existing technology & policy gaps as well as the potential way forward in the field of Simulators.
